Looking for a good book? Try RUMP, by Liesl Shurtliff

Rump lives in a land where one's name is of great import, but his name lacks import and is the source of scorn. He is sure Rump couldn't be his whole name, but it's all his mother was able to say before she died. He grows up on a mountain, mining for gold, but times are tough for his whole village, and there isn't much gold to find. The pixies, who love gold, are especially fond of Rump, but it takes him a while to find out why, and even longer to find out all he needs to about his mom, and the heritage she left him through his name, which it also takes him a long time to figure out. We the readers already know his whole name though, but it is delightful to see its surprising significance unfold throughout the story. A wonderful twist on an old tale.
